Held In Practice -
A Community for Therapists

Undoing Aloneness - Making Space For One Another

You spend your days holding space for everyone else. Who is holding it for you?

We see clients all day and often rarely get to say more than hello or have a quick check in with a colleague.

Most of us were trained to sit with clients, not to run a business. So we learned the business side alone, piecing it together as we went, and many of us never had the chance to really hone it. Right now, with clients ending therapy because money is tight, that gap is getting harder to ignore.

Held in Practice is a place to set it all down for a little while. A space to be held, not just to hold.

Who this is For

This is for all therapists in private practice, whether you opened your doors last year or have been at it for a long time. If you have ever wondered whether you are running your practice well, or wished you had colleagues to think it through with, you belong here.

What to Expect:

Each gathering is held over Zoom and follows a simple rhythm:

  • We open with a grounding practice

  • We check in with one another

  • We connect in small breakouts

  • A guest business expert shares what has worked for them, so you do not have to reinvent the wheel as a clinician while also running a practice

  • We close with grounding

What You’ll Walk Away With:

We value your time and want to make sure that the time you invest is totally worth it!

  • A feeling of being recharged and grounded

  • Fresh ideas and inspiration for your practice

  • Colleagues to accompany you

About Your Host- Melissa

Melissa is passionate about helping her clients become more emotionally connected with themselves and others in their lives. She loves how AEDP supervision allows for the same flourishing within the therapist – as the AEDP patient – because of how they are witnessed by their supervisor and fellow colleagues after showing tape and hearing how they are experienced as therapist.  Melissa is passionate about how much our “use of self” in therapy and supervision create not only a secure attachment, but also a channel for growth and transformation.
