Supervision | Consultation Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you're looking for ongoing group supervision, individual supervision, or consultation on a specific area of your work, here's what to expect.
Q: What kinds of supervision and consultation do you offer?
A: Three things: ongoing AEDP group supervision, individual supervision, and consultation for clinicians who want support with a specific area of practice.
Q: What are the "Use of the Therapist Self" supervision groups?
A: Small cohorts — some meeting monthly, others twice a month — using a "therapist of the day" format so each clinician gets focused time in the group. We work with receptive affective capacity, undoing aloneness, the pull toward a rescue or caregiver stance versus staying in your core self, and judicious self-disclosure — with the group itself functioning as a structural safeguard against burnout.
Q: Who's eligible to join a supervision group?
A: Both licensed and pre-licensed clinicians. On the pre-licensed track, I work with LCSW candidates/LSWs and LPCC candidates. Pre-licensed clinicians need to have an individual supervisor they are working under. My groups are a supplement to their already established supervision.
Q: What's the difference between "supervision" and "consultation" as I use them here?
A: I use these terms deliberately, and the distinction matters. Supervision refers to my relationship with pre-licensed clinicians working toward licensure — even in my groups, which supplement rather than replace the primary supervisor of record you're required to have. Consultation refers to my relationship with fully licensed clinicians practicing independently under their own license. In consultation, you hold full clinical and legal responsibility for your own client care; I'm offering perspective and expertise, not oversight or liability for your work. If you're licensed and want input on a case or an area of your practice, that's consultation. If you're pre-licensed and accumulating supervised hours, that's supervision, and you'll still need your own primary supervisor alongside anything we do together.
Q: Do you offer individual consultation | supervision?
A: Yes, one-on-one, for clinicians who want dedicated somatically focused or AEDP-focused consultation/supervision rather than a group format.
Q: What's your supervision background?
A: I'm an AEDP Certified Therapist and AEDP Supervisor-in-Training, currently supervised by Jen Edlin and Annika Medbo. I am also trained in EMDR.
Q: What does supervision or consultation cost?
A: The hourly fee for pre-licensed individual supervision is $150. The hourly fee for individual consultation for licensed clinicians is $190. Group supervision is $100 per 90 minute group.
Q: How do I get started?
A: Reach out through the contact form and let me know whether you're interested in a group cohort, individual supervision, or consultation — I'll follow up to find the right fit.
